New electric buses to reduce emissions on campus

Two brand new electric buses are operating on UOW's North Gong Shuttle route as part of UOW's ongoing work towards carbon neutrality.

Reduced shuttle bus services

The North Gong Shuttle bus is operating to a reduced timetable from Friday 15 November until 24 December 2024. The service will not run from 25 December until 1 January. The service will resume on 2 January 2025, operating to the reduced timetable.

Looking for the best ways to travel to UOW?

Traffic and parking is expected to busy during session. Consider alternatives to driving like a bus, the train, cycling, or walking. UOW buses have been scheduled to get you to the campus quickly during peak times. If you must drive, consider carpooling with others for free parking, or arrive early. Please take care when driving particularly on the M1 Princes Motorway and be patient.

Concession Opal cards are available for eligible full-time domestic students.

If you must drive, remember:

  • Arrive early. Parking is limited and full up quickly.
  • Carpool with 3 or more people and park for free.

All residences are a short walk to a free shuttle bus connecting you to the campuses and ¾«¶«´«Ã½. Cycling and walking are great options with shared paths connecting the campus and the local area.
