¾«¶«´«Ã½ of ¾«¶«´«Ã½ Act 1989 (NSW)

The  (the Act) is the founding instrument of the ¾«¶«´«Ã½ of ¾«¶«´«Ã½. 

The Act:

• establishes the ¾«¶«´«Ã½ as a body corporate
• outlines the ¾«¶«´«Ã½’s object and functions
• establishes the Council, Academic Senate, and officers of the ¾«¶«´«Ã½
• allows for the creation of ¾«¶«´«Ã½ by-laws and rules.

¾«¶«´«Ã½ of ¾«¶«´«Ã½ By-law (2005)

The  (the By-law) is made under the Act.

The purpose of the By-law is to elaborate on ¾«¶«´«Ã½ processes under the Act, including those associated with elections of the Chancellor and Deputy Chancellor, functions of the Vice-Chancellor, Council membership, functions of the Academic Senate, conferring of honorary degrees, and the making of ¾«¶«´«Ã½ rules.
